The Program in Visual Arts, under the aegis of the Lewis Center for the Arts, is seeking applicants for a tenured position in photography at Princeton University.

The photography professor will work with the Director of the Visual Arts Program to develop all aspects of the study of undergraduate photography at Princeton University. In addition to a full-time teaching load, duties will include assisting the Director in the conceptualization and implementation of the photography curriculum, planning equipment and technology needs, monitoring work spaces and laboratory facilities, and fostering a vital role for photography within the Visual Arts Program, the Lewis Center for the Arts, and the university.

She / he will demonstrate a deep commitment to undergraduate teaching and advising.

She / he will be able to participate in the fabric of the Visual Arts Program, including the installation of student shows and the evaluation of portfolios submitted by applicants to the University, applicants to the Visual Arts Program, Junior independent projects, and Senior thesis projects.

She / he is a practicing artist in the field of Photography with an international reputation.

Essential Qualifications: Exhibiting artist with eight years university teaching experience required. An MFA or equivalent professional experience is also required.
